Description
The Signature cast iron casserole dish enables minimal prep, one-pot cooking. From easy pasta dishes and superb soups, to on-the-go morning pastries and no-kneed Dutch oven bread. Suitable for ovens, grills and all hob types, including induction. The large flat shape and shallow sides make it perfect for browning meat and vegetables, simmering casseroles, stir frying and baking. Locking in moisture for succulent results, it features a newly designed tight-fitting lid.
Why are enamelled cast iron products so heavy?
Due to its material properties, cast iron is very heavy. It is precisely this characteristic feature that ensures the optimal function of the cookware: excellent heat absorption and heat storage as well as excellent energy efficiency.
Are enamelled cast iron cookware suitable for the dishwasher?
Yes it is dishwasher safe but deserves the love & care of a good handwash. It’s super easy to clean. Make sure to use nylon or soft abrasive pads, as metallic pads and abrasive cleaning agents can damage the enamel.
How to start cooking with a cast iron product?
Cast iron cookware should be placed on a cold stove top. The hob and cookware should be heated to medium temperature at the same time.
What is the perfect heat setting for cooking with cast iron cookware?
For good cooking results with Le Creuset cast iron, you should always set low or medium temperatures. Cast iron stores heat very well, so it can happen that the food sticks or burns in high heat. In addition, energy is wasted

Will last a lifetime and still look good.
I use this pan every day as it is extremely versatile. Comes up clean and stain free however ‘baked on’ food gets. Looks great for oven to table dishes so I’m going to invest in the larger size for when cooking in larger quantities. These pans are an investment as I’m sure they literally last a lifetime as I’ve had my large deep casserole for twenty years and it’s still as good as new. Only downside is they are heavy so wouldn’t recommend for those with hand and wrist problems.

Keeps food hot, washes well.
I don’t generally leave reviews but I just love this dish. The 30cm one is a perfect family size. Everything cooks evenly… this sounds silly but everything just tastes better, the sauce in the chilli/curry etc is like it’s richer. Easy to wash, keeps food warm for ages. These are expensive but I have no doubt they will last a lifetime. I’m about to buy another for my lodge 😊

Worth it? Probably !
A lot of money, but, it’s really ace to cook with…. Used most days and is great heat retention and using in the ovenDONT use for stir fries…. As it’ll burn the bottomTop tip – if you have a stubborn stain, just boil water mixed with washing up liquid and it comes up nicely

Fantastic
Exactly what you expect from Le Creuset, a bit on the heavy side when getting in and out of the oven but expect that for the size dish as it is so well made, does exactly what you want, brilliant colour choice and great price compared to other sites.

Glorious colour, style etc but I won’t be paying that much again!
Love the colour, the idea and different modes of cooking it can be used for – price is beyond my usual wildest dreams (I paid £200 pounds via Amazon having forgotten ‘Black Friday’ deals!!!) I took the plunge and bought it anyway! Days later I found a home produced cast-iron range of cookware ‘Netherton Foundry’ no so pretty but it works so well!

It cooks as good as it looks!
We decided to purchase the Signature version of Le Creuset because of the additional features and also we preferred the appearance. The stainless steel handle of the top of the lid looks bright and I think it gives it a more modern appearance. This handle doesn’t get too hot when cooking on the hob and that’s helpful. The side handles are slightly bigger than the original version, and this makes it easier to hold when wearing oven gloves. We cooked a shepherd’s pie from start (on the hob) to finish (in the oven) and it was a dream to cook with. This is our first ever Le Creuset pan and it is the start of building a collection.

Love my new dish
I love my new casserole dish, admittedly it was expensive, but I bought it as a xmas present, because I deserve it!! 🙂 It’s great to cook with, I already have a set of Le Creuset saucepans which have lasted an absolute age, a few enamel chips but still going strong. Delivery was a bit slow, though all my ordered items came in one package… so…

Le Crueset quality
Bought this as a wedding gift so not used it but covet one for myself. It looked lovely. I’m still using Le Crueset products I was given over 30 years ago. That says all you need to know – but don’t put them in your dishwasher.

I LOVE LECREUSET
I dont think i could ever say a bad word about le Creuset. I am an avid collector of and have been for years. This was a gift for a friend who also loves Le Creuset. People say its expensive but if treated correctly it will literally last you a life time. They also have a life time warranty.

My favourite cooking pot
I love this pan. It replaced a much loved fireproof earthenware pot which I had used for about 10 years before the glaze finally cracked and I had to get rid of it. I looked in vain for something similar but the reviews weren’t encouraging so I started looking at alternatives. This fitted the bill, and now lives on my stovetop as my go to cooking pot. It doesn’t fit in my pan cupboard so needed to be attractive enough to have on show, which it is. I have used it for a couple of months and the inside glaze remains perfect. It’s been washed in the dishwasher and by hand, always comes out good as new. Being shallow it doubles as a sauté pan which is great. It’s particularly good for cooking things like risotto and curries. It’s not as heavy as I’d feared, I’ve had no problem carrying it to the table when nearly full. The only reason I would fault it is the price, I’d love to buy more in the same range but it’s just too expensive!

A Must Have Kitchen Item
If you’re serious about ‘one-pot’ cooking, this beautifully made pan is something you cannot be without. An enormous heating diameter which allows even cooking throughout. It washes perfectly and as an additional plus is ideal for table serving as it looks so impressive. A small word of caution, use silicone utensils over metal alternatives if you have them to hand.

Seems like a returned item with minor defects
My item arrived without an Amazon box, just the normal Le Creuset box with a delivery label stick on it. It was a miracle the item was not damaged inside. The casserole itself had two minor defects, a pinhole in the enamel and a tiny side chip. I would have not complain on another cheap brand but this is a Le Creuset and I expect more of a brand that brags about their quality control and the “made in France” thing. All and all what it seems to me is that this was an item returned or those ones that cannot be sold at full price due to minor defects and end up in an outlet at a discount. This also explains why this model on this color costs 168£ and the same in other colors £235. The next time I buy Le Creuset I will do it in a shop were I can fully inspect the item, or I’ll get a Staub.

lovely lovely casserole
I really love this 30 inch shallow casserole from Le Creuset – I did buy it for a very good price on one of Amazons special deals but i would be happy even if it had cost me the full price.I have a ceramic hob and was a bit concerned that it might be too large – because none of the rings are big enough for this – however not a problem. And as everyone who has used these cast irons pans knows they are great for cooking it just seems so easy using them …. and the cleaning is incredibly easy (i don’t have a dishwasher)I’m agreeably surprised by the weight – yes it’s a large cast iron pan …. but the changes made with these newer versions does seem to have reduced the weight (in my opinion)

Costs a lot, but worth it
Let’s be honest. Le Creuset is never cheap. Well, OK, it’s expensive. But it looks good and, more importantly, so is the food that comes out of it.The shallow shape, the cast iron: both great for long, slow, uncomplicated cooking. As I write, my ratatouille is just about ready. I wouldn’t cook my ratatouille in anything else.

Lovely pan for two. Made a risotto this evening for the first time. The pan held the temperature beautifully and delighted with the result. Lid is heavy but the pan itself is surprisingly light and easy to manage. Would recommend.

Excellent purchase. We lightly fry the chicken with a little oil and add raw vegetables, condiments, and then put in the oven for 1 hour at 180 Celsius . It turns out very juicy, tasty and does not fall apart. In this Casserole (26cm) we have 6 servings.Easy to clean. Looks beautiful.

Will last a lifetime… with care
It’s a beautiful pan (I got it in red) and so far… has made a splendid chicken casserole and a heap of rice dishes. It distributes heat evenly, with minimal sticking. Most of all, it’s an absolute dream to clean. Even the most baked on residues come off with a light wipe if you just put the dish in hot soapy water. One thing I wish I’d known however is DO NOT USE OLIVE OIL with these pans. The smoke-point is too low and will damage your pan over time. Use vegetable or coconut oils instead. That’s not a flaw of the pan per se, it’s just chemistry of the materials.

Beautiful
Beautiful colour and a more modern look with the new knob. Conducts heat fantastically well. I don’t know if they’ve improved the enamel on the interior but this is more stain resistant and easier to clean than any of the large number of Le Creuset pots and pans I already own.One thing to be aware of is that this large pan is very heavy. My wife can’t easily manage it.Very expensive of course…

Versatile Pot
I love my casserole dish. Although I’ve not cooked a casserole in it yet. I use it all the time for risottos, vegetable dishes, curry, all sorts. I like the fact that the food stays hot for ages in it. You don’t need a high temperature to cook either so saves energy. It washes up well and I wish my kitchen was large enough to have on display rather in the cupboard as it looks good. Although I burn calories getting it in and out the cupboard as it is quite heavy!I’ve now had this pan well over a year and it still looks like new. I would say I use it 7 days a week so I never bother putting it back in the cupboard. A brilliant investment.

Absolutely perfect!
I had always lusted after Le Creuset’s casseroles and when Amazon had their Prime sale, I bough this one to add to my collection. I used it for the fist time today to make Hungarian Stuffed Peppers and I couldn’t be more pleased. It cooked on ‘Simmer’, no sticking to the bottom of the pot despite high sugar content in the tomato sauce, so it turned out as I had hoped. Pot is easy to clean, great to look at and perfect for both cooking and serving at the table. Expensive, but worth every pence!

Lovely, as expected
This is a really lovely piece and everyone in doubt should buy one! Time and life saver. Easy to clean as well and it looks very posh as a serving bowl as well. I bought this as a Christmas gift but because Amazon did not respect my ask to have it wrapped in Amazon packaging, it was introduced in the rotation earlier (so heads up if you want to buy one and deliver as a surprise).

It’s a second or it was damaged.
Didn’t notice before but this item is either a second or was damaged when I got it. I’ve joined a few le creuset fb pages and this could lead to cracking, I can’t return this now; just a bit disappointed there’s damage and/or it’s sold to me really as a second. I guess the price tag included damage. It was a lot cheaper compared to the full price.

I already knew this dish would be great as I have a number of other Le Creuset dishes. It cooks brilliantly and only needs a low heat. It cooks very evenly and it is very easy to clean. It is far superior to cheeper dishes we have previously bought.

Now I need the smaller 26″ version!!
I thought that this might be too big…but NO! I’d forgotten how good Creuset pans could be! hadn’t used my casserole for some time as I thought it a bit big for the two of us. Yes these pans are heavy but the way they brown the meat and retain heat after the food had been cooked And still look good on the table when serving. Well, if you haven’t yet delved into Le Creuset World you don’t know what you are missing!

Beautiful, perfect cover, thin base.
Pros:Beautiful colour, impressive given it is a cast iron pan.Cover is so heavy, with perfect tight fit, which help keep the moist in.Quality stainless handle.excellent size.Cons:The base is relatively thin, compared to my other cast iron pans, I think this is the reason, the food sticks easily. It stains easily. Perhaps you can got over this using more oil.
